This is something that vBulletin can help you with....mention it when you buy your Cloud package.

As Mark said, this is a service vBulletin offers. We migrate existing vBulletin forums as old as vB 3.8 to vBulletin Cloud. If you go the monthly route, you'll need to choose the Cloud Migration addon to be eligible for the service. The annual plan automatically makes you eligible.
You'll have to provide a database backup and some other details, but aside from that we handle the upgrade of your database (because vBulletin Cloud only runs the latest of vB5) and the migration to our servers.

Just curious, so will vbulletin cloud install mods from vbulletin.org for you too, or - are you confined to stock standard when you go the cloud route?

No, the ability to install modifications is not available on Cloud - it's a security risk.
You cannot edit templates either, or import custom styles.

However, you can cusomize stylevars, add additional css, and create your own styles.

Retern to vb4 after upgrade to vb5?
            by derbtek
After over a week of struggling, we finally managed to get our forum upgraded from vb4 to vb5, and this was no small feat, to say the least.

Well, we've had it up for a few days now, and...

            Downgrade from Vbulletin 5 connect
            by ability
            Hi,

Have tested vBulletin 5 connect for more than a week now and can't use it. Extremely slow forum and too many bugs.

So my question is if there is any guide on how to downgrade...

We all know (or should know by now), that a large amount of resources and development is going toward vBulletin 5. We also know that Internet Brands is working on improving vBulletin 4.
