    paid membership questions

Hi all -- I'm trying to figure out if I can get the vBulletin paid subscription feature to work the way my club expects:

Currently we have three membership levels:
    - full member
    - student member
    - family plan (multiple members signing up for one group price)

I am looking at the 72-hour trial and I see how to set up different membership levels -- but is something like the family plan feasible?

Also, our membership officer currently logs in to our system and manually checks who is due for renewal soon, and then manually sends out renewal notification mails. This is because some of our members pay by cheque and do not want to receive reminder mails. Is it possible to sort members to see which memberships are expiring in the next month, for example? Is it possible to manually send out renewal reminder mails?

Thanks very much -- vBulletin looks great in general, just trying to see whether it can accommodate our existing membership management.

The Subscription System is only designed to give the one user account who purchases a subscription increased access. So if by a "family plan" you mean one user can specify other users who should also gain access then no, vBulletin doesn't work like that. It would require custom coding to make it work like that which we do not support but may be possible for an experienced programmer.

As for manually checking who is due soon for renewal when you have multiple subscriptions you can can a table of who is currently active on each subscription and sort by the end date, it looks something like this which is from my site:

So each week or whatever someone could check and see who is going to be expiring soon.

To "manually send" renewal emails you'd have to manually type an email message out, there's no box to click to "send a renewal email now" if that is what you are looking for.

You can manually add users to paid subscriptions and set the expiration date for people who want to mail in a check.
