Create accounts via API?

Have not been able to find this in docs.

We need to create accounts from a pre-existing user list, and send users activation emails. In other words, an email with a user token to identify the user, and a link to the log-in page where they can set their password etc.

This needs to be a closed forum, so the signup link would be hidden, and users could not create new accounts.

Is this possible?

It's possible but we do not provide official support for this kind of customization. You would need to create and maintain it without VB support.

AFAIK, if registration is disabled, you also cannot register via API unless of course you modify the code.
