vs. phpbb

There are lots of free mods for phpbb. Some are good, some not so good.

1. Are there many free mods for vb?
2. Is the installation of mods or add-ons automated?
3. I found the permissions system in phpbb somewhat complex and difficult to fully understand. How is the vb permissions system in comparison?

1) depends on the version. Check www.vbulletin.org.
2) mostly. You can install most addons and plugins by importing an XML file in the AdminCP.
3) The permission system in vBulletin is complex and also has a learning curve. Any robust permission system will require some time to understand.
