There is no way built into the software that allows someone to bypass the paid subscription. What you ask might be possible but would require someone to write custom software to do that- it is not something we do or support.

It would need to do more then check who purchased the app, there is no guarantee someone is using the same email address for their mobile device and their forum account.

So if someone buys the app, then I can grant them permission to bypass the paid subscription and grant them free access to the web. If someone just buys the web, then they can choose to buy the mobile app as well? I must get some notification that an app is purchased with the name and email, and then I can manually permit them to use the web as well - is that correct?

    Hello,

That is incorrect. Payment for the mobile app cannot be used to give permissions for users to use the forum. vBulletin includes a subscription system (via web browser access) that can be used to purchase subscriptions (and increased permissions.) The purchase of the mobile app cannot be used to grant any special permissions by default.

Yes users can post via the mobile app.

You can set a custom avatar with the mobile app. You may take a photo or upload in image from the gallery,

Several bugs were fixed in 1.8 and 1.9 that could have caused problems submitting to the iTunes store.

I read in a prior forum that people where having mobile app rejected but that the bug would be fixed in 1.8
