PHPBB to vBulletin Cloud

Hello

I am very interested in moving my PHPBB forum onto vBulletin Cloud. All of the info I can find about migrating from PHPBB to vBulletin does not specify if migrating to vBulletin Cloud works as well. Can someone confirm this please?

Additionally, is the mobile suite included in Cloud? Are there limitations I should know about?

Hello and thank you for your interest in vBulletin.

At this time, we can only migrate existing vBulletin sites to vB Cloud. We hope to be able to offer this service in the future.

You can however use the open sourced ImpEx tool to migrate phpBB instances to a self hosted vBulletin instance.

Is it possible to migrate a phpbb installation to the self hosted version, then migrate that to vB Cloud? Does the cloud version support XML sitemaps and logging in via social networks like the self hosted version?

Yes to both, but you'd need to have purchased a self hosted license in order to migrate that way.

The only social network you can log in from in either version is Facebook. I did not want anyone to be confused by the way it was worded.

Thank you for your replies. I went with purchasing a vB Connect license and am pretty happy with it now that most of the migration and upgrade issues have been sorted out. I have a few remaining issues, but this is not the thread for them. Thanks again
