Using v5 Bulletin functionality with v3.8 main page theme?

Hi,

Is it possible to use v5 Bulletin but use a lower theme design but still get all the functionality benefits of the higher version?

I see a forum http://forum.webzen.com/forum/en/arc...ral-discussion with a nice design thread page, but if you go to their index page for forums its http://forum.webzen.com/forum/en/archlord-2-english which is just squares for categories. I want the categories to look like the pic attached to thread. I hate the design of the later versions but the functionality such as tooltips and liking posts is good and not avail on lower versions.

No, vB3 themes are not compatible with vB5 in any way. the two products are completely different.

Styles have never worked between major versions, nor do they on every similar product I can think of.
vB5 is a completely different product, with different features and functionality. It uses modern internet technologies that vB3's style won't work with.
It is also imprudent to sell a modern software product with a style written twelve years ago.

Nothing to stop you developing your own vB3-esque style - could even sell it and make back from it!
