vBLite is not a trial version of vB!

I have downloaded vB Lite to try. But, it is just too basic and too simple. I could not try the features of the full version of vB.
Why don't you offer a trial version with limited forums. limited users, and limited posts?

Because the vBulletin lite version is only made for users to see if the full version would install properly on their system. And if that does, they can purchase the full version (see my sig). If you want to have a feel of the full features / posts / users, you can browse this forum, and see it in its full glory. If you want to have a feel of the admin back-end, then goto vbulletin.com and check out the real-time Admin demo. Those three things can give you a more then plenty impression.

Limited versions will only give users the impression that there is a free-version .. and not a try-out version.

vBulletin is not "Shareware", it is a commercial offering only. We don't offer VB-Lite as a trial version of vBulletin. It is offered as an alternative if someone wants to use a less developed script.

It tells you this directly on the download page.

In addition to our fully featured commercial script, we offer a feature limited freeware version. Please note that this version does not contain many of the best features of the full version of vBulletin...

Since you get the script code when you purchase, any limited version of the main product would quickly be compromised by crackers and appear in every warez site on the web.
