NEVER let a host register your domain name - they can then keep it when you leave if they are shady. Always register it yourself.
The v200 plan look attractive enough for a small site and forum like mine.

I had never tried US webhost before, maybe I will when my current web host plan expired.

I could do it for you by modelling the forums after the look of your home page. I'd need access to your admin CP but I'd be good

OK I See it now - after I do get this whole thing up and running what is the best way to promote?

You don't transfer it over - you put in the name servers that VO gives you. You can find an FAQ or instructions or something on the site where you register your name as to how to change the name servers.

The reseller upgrade is if you plan to resell accounts for VO...I assume you don't.

ok I am going with the V200 plan - now if I register the site name with someone else how does it transfer over?

Very little if the forum is the only thing on your site - VO, like a lot of hosts, does not count your MySQL database size as part of your space allotment. As long as you get V50 or above you'll be fine.

I'm going with ventures online but how much space do I need for a small to medium sized forum?

No, they don't, but you can register for just 8 bucks at godaddy.com

I'm not using one of their plans, because I was arranged for a custom plan.
