  • EU Cookie Law and vB5 connect

Does vB5 connect have the facility to comply with EU Cookie law requirements "out of the box" or would I need to hack the code myself in order to be compliant?

    Many thanks,
    David

    You'd need a template edit. Here's one: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=289275

Please note that third-party addons are not supported.

There isn't a flick of a switch option in vBulletin 5 to cover the current EU "cookie laws". As aakif mentioned, there are third party modifications to help cover the issue.

You could also use a notice to accomplish the same goal.

A default installation of vBulletin doesn't use tracking cookies and as such, it isn't required to have a notice. It uses basic cookies for maintaining the user login and minor UI benefits. None of which track the user's actions.
