  • WBB 3 to vB

    Hey there,

I am currently thinking of migrating to vB.

The forum, which I am running now, is powered by Woltlab Burning Board 3.

Is there an importer available for this software and can this importer migrate the gallery to vB Suite?

The gallery is the thing I cannot miss.

    Thanks!

      Hey Brandon,

Since ImpEx isn't available yet for vB5 it isn't available there.
I checked it for vB4 and there seem to be an importer for WBB 2 only.

      Can somebody confirm?

        Hi SkyShadow,

It looks like it may work, but you'll want to setup your attachments in the DB, vs the file system

I just had a look at ImpEx and saw that WBB3 is able to get imported.

So we can be pretty much sure that there will be a possibility to import to vB5 as soon as the ImpEx for vB5 has been released.
No private support, only PM me when I ask for it. Support in the forums only.

The OP could import into vb 4 for sure though
Then upgrade to vb 5 at a later date if they wished.
