Deleting outdated threads

One of the problems we have with other online forums is the outdated information (going back as far as the 1990's) on old threads, is it possible to delete all messages/threads that are over 1 year old? This would certainly help with keeping the actual database smaller.

There is a pruning function, but you have to initiate pruning manually (i.e. you can't set it to run nightly or anything out of the box).
