  • vBulletin migration possible?

Hello, we have an older vBulletin that our IT admins are looking to put offline. In particular there is one forum section that we would like to save. Is it possible to extract a section of this and import into a new vBulletin installation to save those old threads and discussions?

Make a backup of your database. By new installation you mean a new version of vb or simply a new fresh install of the same version? If the first, then restore the backup you made and then run the upgrader to bring the db up to date. Then delete whatever you do not want to keep leaving the stuff that you want to keep.

I was planning on buying a new license for the new install, so your steps sound like a good way to go. Thanks!
