We are looking at adopting vBulletin as a forum solution linked to our bespoke vLE software we are looking to achieve a solution where be an authenticated user on the vLE site can click on a link within that site which passes them to the vBulletin site pre authenticated (or appearing to be)

The vLE site has a MySQL user table with encrypted password field, ideally we would also like to be able to use a fields on that table to identify the areas of the forum which that authenticated user has access to

With the right 3rd party support from a developer are we able to achieve this with vBulletin ? if so is there documentation available?

Finally when seeking a 3rd party developer to help deliver this project where should we be looking and what skill sets should we be looking for

Thanks for your feedback and assistance in advance

    Hello,

With enough coding and customization yes it is possible but it is not easy. Unfortunately there is no real documentation available for this for VB5 and we do not provide support for custom coding projects. We suggest using www.vbulletin.org to search for or ask for help with custom projects.

You would need to find someone well versed in PHP, MySQL, and with a strong background in vBulletin coding.
