I've done it multiple times with vb3 forums, no problem.

    Hello,
Ive bought 3 forums, all are vbulletin , i want to create one big forum . When we merge the databases, members, posts, will the search engines respider and rename all the links to our new url so we dont lose seo or natural linkbacks ? Is there a company that specializes in the merging of forums?

No, it cannot be 'cleaned up'. The links will be changed.

Is that an easy clean up process?

    Hi Trevor,

I read this bit in the manual "There will probably be some residual HTML from the content that will need cleaning up afterwards, which is part of the import task and process, not a function of the support team."

What exactly does this mean? Does any residual HTML that is made through the merging of the databases automatically get cleaned up through the importer?

Fairly, yes but make sure you test it out by importing to a test site first. Instructions on how to create a test site can be found here:

    https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/cont...ng-A-Test-Site

    ...and the Impex manual here:

    Thanks for your response Trevor.

Is this a fairly simple process?

started a topic Merge vBulletin Databases?

    Merge vBulletin Databases?

Is it possible to merge to vBulletin forums?

Basically Forum A will want to be kept intact, and the users/posts from Forum B would like to be merged with Forum A.

    Is this easily possible?
