Is there a VB forum what suggests referrals?

(We tried one last year that claimed they were VB specialists and it turned into a disaster because in the end they were using Godaddy and hired Chinese techs).

I used to offer specialized forum hosting, but I didn't advertise heavily (and I didn't feel right advertising here). I've sinced moved to a vps with ASO, despite some bumps on the road, they've been good to me so far.

You should really look for a good webhost period, not just one that specializes in vBulletin.

godaddy can run a vb forum if you already have hosting and want to check it out
but I would find a better host asap.

try searching at webhostingtalk.com for host

                cheers

vB5 is unequivocally the best forum software, but not yet...

                    Thanks,

Only 1 person has answered your question, david copeland, the others have been speculation and " I've heard" !!!....well I do use godaddy and have never had a single problem, zero downtime and fast response to a few problems on my part when setting up the site, everything works fine unlike my other site which has constant problems with a different server. People should not comment via hearsay but stick to facts, it starts wars.

As someone who has to deal with using godaddy tons, due to customers using it, I can say a large majority of them are not happy/please with the service they get. They are also often frustrated at how things work with godaddy. Based on my own prefrences, I would not host, or recomend anyone host at godaddy.

I didn't speculate anything, I've worked on several sites (not just forums) that used godaddy hosting and it's always been a major PITA.
As I said, if the OP already paid for hosting, go ahead and check it out.. It not, find a real HOST asap
Godaddy is good for domains but I'll never suggest someone using them as a host.

Oh, right, I have also worked on others sites based on godaddy hosting, and the issues were always resolved by moving elsewhere.

I am using a GoDaddy shared server...

I have run into instances of extremely high server loads. My shared server is suppose to evenly distribute the load, not sure about that but I've been using them for a few years. Problems are always resolved quickly to my satisfaction but to be honest I'm not a large operation. Almost 500 members and usually no more than a handful of members online at time. They have been really good to me but I can see that as I grow I will need to change to a deticated server, possibly another host.

My site is a 2nd Amendment community. (Gun talk) If you want to see how it loads, http://americansheepdog.com
