  • Mobile Suite question

I know it is not released yet but I have a question regarding it and its price.
Here is what you all quoted on pricing:
As previously announced, it will initially be priced at $199 for the first 12 months, and $99 annually after that.
The price will increase to $299 after the initial period.
This seems a little steep to me, $99 annually for keeping a mobile suite license. Once we get the software and and get it all setup why will be need to pay $99 a year for updates. Could you please explain a little more about what we get with $99 a year.

I am not complaining, just want to know.
Will it stop working if we do not pay $99 annually?
What would happen if we do not update annually?

The annual fee gives you access to bug fixes and new features after the first year. It will also give you access to versions for other phone OSes like Windows Phone 7, if/when they become available. If you don't maintain the license, you won't gain access to these.

Will we be able to have two versions like a ad supported version with some features missing and then a paid version???

"The price will increase to $299 after the initial period."

What I want to know is... Can I buy it for $199 but not use it just yet to save the $100?
