  • Borrowing a license and then changing licenses?

    Hey there,

Following me being 'scammed' via an unofficial license sale, my friend offered to lend me his vBulletin license that he's not using until I've gathered the funds to make an official purchase.

What I was wondering is that when I do buy my own license, how would I go about changing it so he's free to use his again? I'd like to keep all themes, users, mods etc. in tact.

    I'd be using vBulletin 4.0.

    Thanks a lot!

Your friend might lose his licence because of that.

Okay, that's not an option then.
      Thanks for your help!

if your friend wants to point his vbulletin license at your domain, as long as that license is not being used anywhere else i see no reason why not?..

then when you have the funds to purchase your own license he/she can simply remove the domain from their licence and you can setup yours in members.vbulletin.com

sounds ok to me? i could be wrong and if i am i am sure someone will say so..
