Looked at the FAQ, and the features page, just wanted a straight forward yes. If i brought V bulletin x4 would i be able to run it for thousands of years, legally, updated, and for free after the one off payment of £285?

    Many thanks

If you buy the vB Suite you get:

-Lifetime Ticket Support (life of vb4)
-Updates for the life of vBulletin 4 (Until vB4 goes 'end-of-life')
-Can run 1 instance* of vBulletin per license for as long as you would like.
(*can run one live public instance and one test instance in a password protected area that's not accessible to public users)

You only need to pay again if you should choose to upgrade to the next version of vBulletin which will be vBulletin 5. And no, we don't know when that will be.

The vB Forums only package is the same, except on price and only 30 days ticket support.

vB5 is unequivocally the best forum software, but not yet...

No you just get the suite, which includes the forums anyway. You can just turn off the other components if you don't need them immediately.
