Which host should I pick? Hostgator or Siteground? Thanks!

Depends on the size of your forum. I was with HG for about 6 years. I had to move finally because my forum outgrew their limited shared servers. I'm with urljet.com now and I have no more issues with db errors and sluggishness like I did with HG.

HG shared servers are great for very small sites only.

I can't speak for VPS or dedicated.

Depends on the size of your forum but i suggest you site5.com. Their support is top class. Never had any issues with them till now!

I agree with the previous poster on siteground. I've had very good support from them and am happy with them.
