1: Can I convert my current forum that run "Simple Machines forum 2.0 RC3"?

2: I'm interested in the forum and blogs-feature. Do I have to buy 4.0 Publishing site to get them both?
If so, can I get the forum as "main-page"?

3: I use Swedish-language in the forum. Will there be a problem to install plugins because of this or will all plugins work even if they are written in English?

4: Is it simple to update the forum-software?

    1. I think so but i am not 100% sure.
    2. Yes if you want Blog you need to buy the suite version. You should be able to say what has priority cms or forum. This can be done in mutiple ways even htaccess can be used for that if needed.
    3. The default language is English or German (vbulletin-germany.com) every other language is an translation and it run side a long anther language. If a plugin supports Swedish language it will select that, if it does not have it then the default language is used of the plugin, but you can always translate it your self the admincp gives that option and it shows what is translated and whats not.
    4. Yes backup database always do this when trying out stuff and then upload new files run the updater from install dir and follow directions on screen. To be sure you don't get issues test first on test board then live board, you are allowed to run a test forum that is protected for the general public.

Can anyone from the vBulletin-team please reply to my questions? The forum seem to be the only way to contact them?

I want to know the 100% correct answers and no guessing. If I cant import from SMF then vBulletin would be worthless for me...

            Thanks for your replies.

Do I have to import when installing vBulletin or can I install it first and then import later?

I would like to set it up in a subfolder first and then tweak it the way I want it, and when I want to go live I want to import everything and move out from the subfolder to the root-folder.

            Is this possible?

You need to install first, then import. Make a backup before you begin the import though, of everything just incase.

Ok, because the reason I'm going to switch from SMF to vBulletin is because when installing plugins for SMF I always have to edit a lot of PHP-files manually since I use Swedish and I'm tired of that.
But what you're saying is that the English plugins will work but the text from the plugin will be in English until I translate it?

I thought you only want answers from vBulletin staff.

Most vBulletin plugins do not require PHP edits and instead use the Languages & Phrases system which you can easily translate text.
