I want to purshare vbulletin with some conditions.

Firstly, publishing suite is far too expensive, so forget about it.

So I will purchase 4.0 forum license for 195$ only if the following conditions are met.

    1. vB 4.0 is horrible in every sense, I see it as a major failure and step down in the history of vBulletin. I hate it with my guts, so I want to be able to use vB 3.8 instead for lifetime (at least lifetime security patches).
    2. I want to be able to use the bug tracker add-on for vB 3.8
    3. I want to be able to use the blog add-on for vB 3.8

My question is simple, is that feasible or not?

    1 and 2 are feasible:
    - if you purchase a vB4 forum license, then you may also download an previously released version like 3.8.
    - Project Tools is available over on vbulletin.org

However, the blog for 3.x is no longer available for purchase.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

Lynne i think number one " (at least lifetime security patches)" is going to end some time or another.

You are right. Once a version is declared End Of Life, then we will no longer be releasing security patches for that version. 3.8 will be declared EOL at some point (I do not have a date or estimate of a date).

Please don't tell me you refuse a customer just because you removed vB3 blogs from purchase list. I do need to purchase these blogs for vB3 badly no matter what for a complete website. And please don't tell me to buy for the publishing suite because:
          1. I really hate how vB 4.0 looks like currently, vB3 really looks great, and vB4 really looks like sh**.
          2. I prefer the free vBavanced CMS (which I tested it on their website), not dissing your publisher CMS it's just a question of taste.
          3. Obviously not selling the blog for 3.X is a strategy to force sells of the Publishing suite which I can't afford. And I do not approve these aggressive commercial methods.

Please can't we just find a middle ground here. I'm trying to be a legit customer because I want to support your great work (at least before v4). Please let me buy the blog for 3.X from another source who wants to sell his blog license (I can think of some people here) and please don't sue my website for using it. I think it's a fair deal.

My only fault was to not buy vB3 and vB3 blogs while they were still available for sale, please don't punish me for that.

Great so you will let you customers easy preys for hackers, that's really professional. Could you tell me which is the latest version of vB declared EOL so I can do some estimates myself.

                    1. You can alter the style
                    2. You can disable the CMS
                    3. Ofc

But never the less Blogs are not being soled any more, if you want to have that you can buy second hand but that brings risk and vBulletin will not be part of the sale between two parties. Second hand licenses with blogs are not that expensive below 100 dollars if you shop a bit, at vbfans.com they sell licenses.

buy a 3.8 license second hand with the blog
that's the only way you'll get the blogs on 3.8

btw, you're whole "conditions" quote is childish, or maybe it's the fowl mouth that makes this thread seem that way

Waiting anxiously the staff reply before buying a vB forums license. Do you have any idea why it takes so long? Is my post going to be ignored?

you can get a used license that still has support access
plus I think vB is offering a 3 month for 30$ ( or something like that ) support and upgrades to the latest 3.8 series.
so in theory you could buy a used 3.8 license with blogs for 60-70$ (yes, I've seen them that low & lower if you look around) and pay the 30$ to vB for support and security updates for 3.8 and have what you're after for a 100 bucks.
