  • I'm a Bit Confused?

A Member on here has offered to sell me a Licence,

He says its for vBulletin 3.8.X or Something, and if i pay $50 i can renew it to vB4 and it will last forever unless i would like to update my vB4 to the newest version, and that would be $30.

So to sum it up, His Licence + $50 = Lifetime vBulletin 4.0.X

X = Being the Version latest when i renew it?

    Thanks!

Erm, no. The cost to upgrade a license to vB4 Forums is $175 and to vB4 Suite it's $250.

Well that's a cost to upgrade to vB4 permanently.

You technically could just use the 3.x Maintaince Pack to upgrade to vB4 as well.
Which is $30-50 depending on when it was last renewed.

The only problem is when the 3.x 3 months maintenance Pack ends you can't download versions that come after that date. So when the 3.x 3 months maintenance pack ends on 31-12-2010 and version 4.1 comes on 01-01-2011 you will not have access to it. At that point you need to renew again but the 3.x 3 months maintenance Pack will not be there forever its a limited offer that can end anytime soon.
