  • VB4 vs VB4 suite

I can sit here and read what the differences between vb4 and suite all day,
but at the end of the day, please tell me why someone would buy VB4 over VB suite?

I know just for a typical forum, then vb4 would do...

but why would someone choose VB suite? mainly for what purpose?

    2nd question...

If i ordered vb4 - would i also have access to any lesser versions
of vbulletin - over the last few months, I have not been reading not
so good things about v4 and I would like to have other options...

    Thank-You

PS. I would also like to see some VB4 sites in action, if you would like
to PM your site, then please do so.

They would choose vB4 Suite because they either want a Blog or CMS on their site or want the ticket support (with the forums, you only get 30 days of ticket support).

Yes, when you purchase a vB4 Forum license, you would also have access to download any previously released versions of the software.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

thats the only extra with the suite? Blog, CMS, and ticket support (which is always helpful)

I think I would have to see some live sites in action to see if VB suite is really for me...
does the blog offer any more then free blogs offer? Does CMS offer anything outstanding
that you can not find in other CMS scripts?

        Hello,

I recently bought the suite and am really liking it. The reason I went with the suite is because of the cms and blogs being built by the same people who make the forum so it all works together. Editor is the same between the 3. Commenting is the same. I originally was using Joomla CMS, it was nearly impossible to get the forums, cms, and blog to all work together.

        Hope this helps,
        Eric

          OH here's my site: http://cokepot.com
Thanks, I will make a visit.

also wanted to ask about upgrades..

          VB4 - $175
          Suite - $250

are these major version fees...or is there a fee evertime
a little upgrade comes out, which I do not see the worth...
I would think these fees are from like v4 to v5

if I am wrong, please let me know. I can not pay a fee
every time some v4 patch or upgrade happens.

maybe someone can carlify the upgrade fees for me.

It's a one time fee for vb4 so you won't pay for like 4.1 or 4.2. If you buy a VB4 license then you're covered until VB5 in which you would have to buy the license for.
