The administrator(s) of a vBulletin can look at anything that the end-user submits to the site, including PMs, due to the nature of MySQL and how data is stored.

There is a hack that lets them read it from the admin panel.. or they can view the messages in phpmyadmin if they dont have the hack installed. .

    question about vBulletin, PM, Admin.....

on another message board i sent a pm to someone with a link to a webpage.

this morning i checked the Referrers for the website through extremetracking.com and it listed two referrers:

one came from http://xxxxxx.com/forum/private.php?s=&action=show&privatemessageid=1686 i checked the ip and i came from the person i sent the pm to.

but there was another referrer that came from http://xxxxxx.com/forum/admin/pm.php?action=show&pmid=1686 it looks like it came from admin's CP, and it had a different IP.

so my question is can an admin of a vB forum read other member's PMs or am i being paranoid?
