  • CMS Features

I am interested in purchasing vB4 specifically because i am interested in the CMS features.
However I have a few queries.

Is it possible to give publishing authority to various members of staff for the main article site using CMS, similar to moderating?

Is it possible to arrange for published articles to also be duplicated as forum threads automatically? Maybe with a link at the bottom of the article?

How customisable is the CMS template? Can we access the data from our own website template?

    Thank you

    1) Yes. The permissions is discussed at http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/entry...MS-Permissions, although we're working on expanding them.
    2) Yes. By default there is a discussion thread created if you have properly configured, and comments are posted there. If you click on the "Home" link above and on one of the "XX comments" links you'll see how CMS comments work. That's actually a forum thread you see.
    3) You can do pretty much anything you want with it. You need to understand some css and the stylevar system. Accessing data from your own website template- if you mean can a cms page extract information from your template, probably not. You should be able to pull HTML out of your template and put it into a CMS page template, but how easy or difficult that is depends on how your current page is structured and how well you understand css.
Please- I'm not tech support. Don't send your problem reports to me unless I've asked you to.
