The recurring problem I see with vB4 is that all the sites look the same. The customization that existed in vb3 is gone. A site could be running vb and you didn't know most of the time. But now - All the menus are the same, just different colors, the login area is terrible and 'clunky' looking.

The 'look' of the web has become cleaner and vb4 is cluttered and hard to follow. It goes in the exact opposite direction the rest of the web has been flowing. Links and fields everywhere, with no good integration. You shouldn't need 3 links all going to the same profile page. I re-upped my subscription so I could move to vB4 once they got it right, but I have yet to see anyone who is happy or has integrated it well into their site. vBadvanced still does a better job using vB3 IMHO.

    just integrated vb on stiqr.com
took only 15 minutes. but we did cheat a little by using stiqr on it. =)

but i am already realizing that vB is not a customization friendly application....

As far as VBSkinworks goes, I've been very happy with them, I've customized the skin I got from them, and Ryan has done an excellent job with helping me with my various tweaks.

Right now, he only has Vuel converted, but he has a listing up of one's is planning on converting (.http://vbskinworks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4127) Obviously, with the current state of flux, he's trying to hit a moving target.

    Myself as well !
I think I am going to go back to vB3.

I found the site http://www.digitalport.co.uk to be slow.
The major reason for me to use vB is speed and security.
With this slowness, I can get that for free with phpBB3.

Submit it to bug reports and link it somewhere here on the forums, so that people can go and add confirmations/support. It's probably one of those "oops, yeah, we missed that one" simple things (I hope; there was a similar bug with empty widgets).

If vBulletin was a real CMS, then Categories with no articles wouldn't appear on the Front End.
