plugin for user accounts to cross over from main site to forums

Hi, been kicking around the idea of switching from SMF to vBulletin but right now we have a plugin for SMF that works with WordPress that will allow users to register on our main site and it will automatically register them for the forums with the same username/password. Is this available in vBulletin, or as a separate application?

It's available as a seperate modification over at vBulletin.org

I don't know if it's compatible with 4.0 or not, but I know it works with 3.8
