    VB4 & Wordpress bridge ?

    Hi again,

I am wondering, if there will a possibility of a wordpress / vb4 bridge for users..

I am now considering using wordpress as my main site for an upcoming project, as i am not sure about the SEO power of your new CMS.

-http://example.com (Home page / news section using wordpress)
    -http://example.com/forums/ (Forums using VB4)

Will it be possible to have a single login for both the main site and forums ? or even display a login section in to the forums displayed on the main page (wordpress) that signs them into the forums from the wordpress main page ?

Also as you will know wordpress has excellent plugin support for SEO related areas, are you able to predict what would be stronger.. wordpress using SEO plugins or VB4 CMS with VBSEO ?

I really need to get started on my project, but i have concerns as to the power on the VB4 CMS straight out of the box.

i am on the same boat!
but the feel i get is, "no1 actually knows"
i have seen comments by current vb/wp bridge coder at vb.org stating he ll wait and see how good/bad vbcms is, if bad then he ll update his code to run wp in vb4.

I also need this, however my setup is:

      example.com (wordpress)

      forums.example.com (forums)

      vB needs something like IP.Converge..

ip.converge only syncs up the users
I would like something that syncs the users and the content
currently there is a mod at vbulletin.org that does this, but doesn't work well with sub-forums (at least in my experience)

It's possible. This isn't very hard to do - I have wrote my own Wordpress bridge on exophase.com. No plans to release it atm though.

It don't think there will be official support but briding them is not that hard. I'm even using my own CMS running on vb3.8 forums (www.dvoturk.com)

Try searching at our customisation site, www.vbulletin.org

Does anyone have a current answer as of today for how each application stands between the two as asked above in red?

I'm looking for something similar as well. A bridge that connects the two software mainly in terms of their user account. I'm mostly interested in allowing users to comment on blog posts using their forum account.

Yeah lampwright's works fine but you have to have wordpress in the same directory as vBulletin to use it and he doesn't give you directions on how to do that. He'd rather you pay him for that service. Also he doesn't support vb4 but it works fine in it.

You can learn how to do all of that stuff here: Wordpress As vBulletin4 Homepage
