Possibilties of URL structure in VB4

    Hello,

I purchased the new vb4 suite. I have read the faq, but I still have a question:

Currently my forum is located in www.domain.com/forum/. Does the upcoming CMS have the capability of running the cms in the root and the forum in the subfolder (e.g. /forum/)?

    Thanks for reply

I have the same question. Currently my forum in in the /forum directory on my server and my URL forwards to that directory. I'm wondering if the new home page will go in the site index accessed at http://mydomin.com/

It's been said that yes, you can do that. It may involve some URL rewriting though.

i too plan on having the cms as root.
hopefully the same will go for subdomains, forums.yourdomain.com.

I believe they've said that the forum, cms, and blog are going to be three different php files in the same directory... like showthread.php, etc. So out of the box, you have to have the cms in the same directory as the forum. I am planning to use vBSEO's capabilities to deal with this, or if you are good with rewrites you should be able to do it as well.
