As a preferred customer with an active license, we are excited to offer the vBulletin Publishing Suite at a pre-sale discount price of only $130 (over 50% off regular price). This is a truly limited one-time special offer giving you $120 off the upgrade price but will expire on Friday October 30, 2009.

OMG... it just hit me. The "upgrade" price of an expired maintenance for an existing license is being set at the incredibly outrageous $250 price. I didn't understand what this "savings" of $120 was. LOL!

So let's see - my existing $180 vBulletin license has been rendered worthless and I can either (a) pay a huge $250 to replace that license, or (b) just pay $35 more and have a savings of $180 by keeping the second vBulletin forum, or (c) pay significantly less than $250 for a very good competing suite and keep the vBulletin 3.x forum and save a ton more!!!! Hmmm... you guys are making the decision for loyal vBulletin customers so very difficult!!!!

Right now, everyone is being forced to pay the $130 for the suite, whether you use it or not and you can turn off the stuff you won't use. If you upgrade to suite, like the English says, you're upgrading to the suite.
