4.0 Upgrade Questions

1. Is there anywhere I can see some screenshots of the new 4.0 version of vbulletin and see the new features.

2. As far as upgrading, how easy is it to trasnfer your 3.8 template over to 4.0.

3. If you have VBSEO installed on 3.8, will your URLS and archieved pages carry over to 4.0 if you upgrade?

4. Is there any way I can pay to have someone else do the upgrade for me?

5. Is Vbulletin 4.0 included in the 4.0 Publishing suite?

Unfortunatly, thats all the information released at the moment.

2) Templates will need to be totally recoded - there is no way (due to template engine recoding) that you can transfer your v3 templates to v4.

3) No idea - You will have to ask VBSEO that, but I would assume so.

4) Yes, vBulletin will upgrade your forums for the cost of $150.

5) Yes, the forums are included in the publishing suite.

2. The Template Syntax and System has changed. You would need to redo your skin from scratch.

3. It depends in your urls. If your configurated to use the urls that vB will use, you will not have problems. If not, the current urls will not work.

4. Yes. vBulletin will offer a Service Upgrade. If not, you can search for a third-party to do this.

5. Yes. Publishing Suite / Suite includes CMS, Forum and Blog.
