Why has my thread been deleted?

I made a post a couple of days ago about renewing my leased license, I bumped it earlier as no-one had replied and now it's been deleted?

Any particular reason it was ignored and then deleted?

if you subscribe to a thread and someone replies to it the forums will email you a notification about it and you can get back to the thread at any time after that, that is if you choose instant notification by email.


just a warning it is best not to bump your own thread too often that will get a thread deleated.

Thanks, but it has already been deleted or moved to somewhere private. I'm just not sure why as all I wanted to do was renew my license.
I only bumped it once after 2 days, may have been 3 days.

It was moved to the licensed customer feedback forum, which can only be accessed by licensed customers. Go here and make sure your forum e-mail is there to mark your forum account as licensed.

This is very odd.

I went to that link, entered my details and it wouldn't take them, so I tried to recover my password and got this error:

The requested URL /distributor[host_members]/lostpw.php was not found on this server.

I think I'll just give up until they contact me.

To hopefully somewhat answer your question, here are a few posts from the thread that have been made after your bump to it.

Patches for 3.8.x, if needed, are posted to the Member's Area and you do not need an active license to download them.

Incorrect! Patches (PL1, PL2 etc.) have always been for a specific version, not the whole series. If its for 3.8.4, its meant for just 3.8.4.

Security-related patches are always released in the MA without regard to your active status until that vB version goes End-Of-Life. I have a license that expired quite a while ago, and I can even download 3.8.4 patch. Note that is only the 3 or so files related to the security patch and not the full version, but as long as you have 3.8.4, they should work on your installation.

Moves your thread to top of the list. Hence "Bump".

It means that you place a new post at the bottom of your own thread. The new post automatically boosts (bumps) the thread to the top of the forum again.

they prefer you wait 24 hours before bumping your own topics, however with a deadline for the price "cut" looming all bets are off!
