  • I pre-ordered today, but it cost me $250?!

I have a site sunning vB with an expired license. No problem, I only renew when I feel I need to upgrade.

So I get an email telling me I can get the upgrade for $130, but only if I'm active. I'm not, oh well.

I see on the pre-order page that I can buy the 4.0 Publishing Suite for $235 until Oct 30. Cool.

I login and try to renew. It costs me the full $250. I didn't put two and two together when I checked out and paid full price. Sucks to be me. See attached.

I'm whining a little, sure. I'm trying to get the $15 back from the sales team, as we speak. Anyone else get stuck with this?

You've made a mistake - not with the order form - but with investing that kind of money on 'nothing'.
      It's an omen...

Now, now. I'm not complaining about paying for a quality product. I'm a capitalist pig myself! But I do hope that I can get better pre-order pricing than that.

I'm an active licensed customer who's trying to purchase the vBulletin Publishing Suite upgrade. That same screen you posted is trying to charge me $235.00 for it, as if I'm a new customer.

I asked for the correct URL in a new thread here this AM, but no reply... yet. It appears to me that, vBulletin has some real customer support issues.

Ah, yes, but you have an active license. I don't.

              Maybe vBulletin hates bowling?

exp. vb license holder have to pay 235$ (technically 250$) while those have active license will have to pay just 130$.

Select that option, it will appear 250$ and then 120$ discount as additional.

Mine does that, too, but once I click on the product it puts the discount on.

Perhaps try and select it and see if the -$120 appears in the discount column.

                      Or IB Fee.

                      Something technically bug is there.

Those who want to purchase new license, are given option to pay 235$ while those who have inactive valid license are asked to pay 250$. I don't know what IB want to prove itself here. Unloyal to its customer.

I'm in the same boat trying to work out why I'd pay

$250 to upgrade an expired product when I can buy ANOTHER license for only $235.

                              1. I get 1 vb4.0 for $250
                              2. I can get 1 vb4 suite and still have a vb3 forum for $235.

                              Makes utterly no sense.

Come on Vb sort it out give us a decent option to upgrade inactive license, this is just silly.
