  • Thinking of buying...some questions

Thinking of buying vB, wondering about some stuffs:
    1. If you have it bought, can you ban users, IPs and email addresses?
    2. If you have bought it, are you aloud to use some of the scripts used in the forum in other places on the same server?
    3. Is it worth it in comparison to forumotion's free software?
    4. Can you create other pages using the same header and footer, with the links at the top an all?
    Thanks,

yes, you can ban both ip and email addresses
I dont believe you are allowed to use the script anywhere else on you server unless it is for testing
ForumMotion uses phpbb dont they? VB is far.. far better IMHO
I am certain I seen a mod for adding pages to VB over on vbulletin.org.

I have used a few of the free forum softwares before i broke down and bought VB.. but once I did.. I couldnt be more pleased, it has everything I wanted.. and more.

1 - Of course you can ban users and ip's also emails.
2 - Read the license agreement
3 - Forumotion kinda sucks vBulletin will own it anyday
4 - There is a mod at vbulletin.org that allows you to do that.

Thanks all. I'm gonna go read the licence agreement and look for the 'mod' at vB.org
