  • Questions about MySQL forums -> Vbulletin

Heres whats going on, i have a vbulletin forum already, and i am running a phpbb board off of it from the Fantastico De Luxe and this phpbb forum is doing better than my original vbulletin forum go figure. I want to take this phpbb board that i created and buy another license and convert it to a vbulletin.

There both on the same hosting account. Sorry if this sounds confusing. But is this possible?

Yes we have an import scripts for phpBB. You can read about them here:

    phpBB2:
    http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/impex_phpbb2

    phpBB3:
    http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/impex_phpbb3

Please note that since phpBB3 passwords are encrypted, they cannot be imported. Your users will need to reset their passwords after the import. You can read more about this here:

Not sure I understand the question. Importing the data into vB will not affect your current phpBB forum.

I understand that you have vB and phpBB installed in separate directories. That is normal. I don't understand what the question is though.

Oh alright i thought that was what you didnt understand. I want to take the phpbb board i have in the directory and convert it to a vbulletin. So this process would remain the same still?

I would need to create a new hosting account and stuff correct?

No offense, Spencer, but why do you post in half a dozen threads, whether or not you have something to contribute on topic?

If you have a question, then open your own thread. If you don't know the answer to a question, simply don't answer. And what do you expect a vB representative will reply to this?
