  • password access for users

I am thinking about purchasing your product to offer our customers a way to post problems and review previous solutions. Can I set up this product so I can send out usernames and passwords to invite others I want to include?

Could i have different areas of the board, like apple customers and windows customers and only give access to one or the other?

    Thank you for your answers!

You can indeed do this with a few options including A) disabling registration, B) using user groups (and user group permissions per board) and C) using the AdminCP to register users.

You can try all of these out on the admin demo at http://www.vbulletin.com/admindemo.php

      Thank you Jobe

I am new to this and I want a message board and this seems like the best product to get.

My goal is to provide a place where my customers can come and share knoweldge and get help. the idea is that I have 6 different areas i want to bring them and I want to control who goes to what room. Does this sound like I can do that with this software?

      Thank you for your support!

you can do that with usergroups and forum permissions. passwords would not be needed. you would just not allow certain usergroups to veiw the forums or have access to their content.
