There are more ideas, but I'm not sure which ones I should suggest.

Sooo, I'll leave it to the community.

I use vBDrupal, a fork of Drupal for my site. It integrates pretty well.

      Best regards

The best thing you can do is: (in order)
            1) wait vbulletin 4 and vbulletin cms
            2) code yourself a cms
            3) use vbdrupal
i hope you have understood what i wrote above with my bad english!

Custom CMS is good too. My gaming website uses it. Very easy to intergrate members too.

One of our sites runs the main site on it and it's quite good, if a bit simple. They are working on another version which sounds promising.

                Our site is...

Blackburn Web - an online community for Blackburn in Lancashire (thanks to Mark B for the tips)

Personally I would recommend vBAdvanced mainly because it's small and compact but powerful, and it isn't bloated by all the extra CMS plug-ins you don't want, but you can download them from vBAdvanced's forums if you do want them.

Saying that I have not tried any of the other options available, but I have found vBAdvanced very easy to use.
