  • Ho many users can vbulletin handle simultaneously ?

As I'm thinking about creating a multilingual forum, with a large number of users, I'd like to know how many users vbulletin can handle simultaneously without system performances going down. Also, do guests who do not post threads but just read them make it slow down ?
Does anybody have an idea about this ?

    Thanks.

From my experience up to 250 users simultaniously online for a good shared hosting solution. Up to 500 on a average VPS and up to 1500 on a dedicated box. From that point on you will need perhaps to spread your forum load over a cluster, or at least a few servers. But there are forums with 10,000 online users chatting, at the same time. You can expect the shared hosting to be unable to pull this.

      Thanks.
Does this include those users who only read posts without registering ?
