  • Question on user groups and smilies

With the new version, is it possible to have one user group get to use smilies and other user groups not get to use them?

Is there a way to implement that?

No sorry that is not a feature yet.

      Thank you.

That seems a very logical function to have, given the availability of a paid subscription function. Providing special benefits seems to be exactly the sort of incentive one would want.....

There are many more features you can offer to premium members like: more pm and upload storage space, avatars, premium member badges, social groups, user albums, profile styling, signatures. There are probably more.

If you were allow emoticons to premium users only, nothing stops members from hot linking them from other sites. Remote loading of images will slow your forums down as opposed to locally loading the emoticons.
