    Cms

Are there any CMS products that have full integration with VBulletin and are stable and mature?

There are not any official CMS products from vBulletin.

However, there is at least one on www.vbulletin.org that you can check out.
To name one in particular, vBAdvanced.
    Regards,
    Nick

There are also a few commercial products that integrate with Vbulletin out there such as Subdreamer and Vivo if you prefer that route. I'm pretty sure you can also get Wordpress to integrate with Vbulletin, although don't quote me on that.

I looked at VBAdvanced, but honestly it looked like a mess.
The example pages I saw were so cluttered and confusing that I was not something I was looking for.

Ideally, I would like to use ExpressionEngine as our CMS, and be able to integrate user accounts with vBulletin but that does not seem like something vBulletin wants to do.

The 2nd, idea is fine any CMS that is secure, reliable, stable, and manageable that has access to the vBulletin user database. I want to have other sections on our website that are able to use the same credentials for posting files and documents.

I also want to be able to do things like "most popular" "most recent" forum posts on the home page in the sidebar.

I've looked at VBDrupal and DrupalTin, but I just was not confident with them, I read that VB Drupal is not updated frequently and is often abandoned for long periods of time, and DrupalTin is not tested and proven.

I am looking for something that is very proven and rock solid, and it is important to be easy to work with.

You, and only you, decides how your own vbadvanced pages will look like.

                  You can make 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.... column pages.
You can make your modules spread several columns, or just one column.
You can make you modules have a standard template around your content, make your own template template around content, or just use
an invisible template around your content.
You can have pages with almost no content.
You can have pages with a lot of content.

I spent a bit of time looking at the site, but I found it awfully confusing and cluttered. I guess I could set it up and try.

How manageable is it? Is it easy to work with pre and post design?
Are there many people who design for that platform?

Do you "skin" it, or do you fit it in your design?

Well, it is the THE cms for vbulletin at the moment, I guess at least 95% of all users with an cms addon for vbulletin use vbadvanced.

It uses your vbulletin skins, you can set a vbulletin skin for each page, no one
                      designs for vbadvanced.

How manageable is it? I would say just as vbulletin, both the general vbadvanced
settings and each module in vbadvanced has a lot of user settings you can play with (it is quite flexible now, so it may take some time to learn all), but that is no different than vbulletin which also has a lot of settings.

How managable in terms of editing content, like for an example, can a receptionist figure it out enough to change phone numbers on a website managed with vbAdvanced without a lot of training or update pictures on their product listing pages?

Not sure how manageable it is for a receptionist, hard to say. Some receptions are good at this sort of things, others have problems no matter how simple it is.

Vbadvanced cmps is not recommonded for product listings, though. But vbadvanced Dynamics
is extremely versatile and can be used for product listings, and the content
in vbadvanced Dynamics can be changed in front-end in simple forms, so the receptionist does not have to go the administration pages. The demo pages are
a bit messy, though, but you decide which modules to enable. The modules can be be deleted and added in the front-end also. http://www.vbadvanced.com/products.p...fo&productid=7

I've been looking at subdreamer as well, it looks pretty nice in terms of the demo sites have very clean layout and integration. Any experience with this and why VBAdvanced may or may not be better?

Where do you get that 95% use VBAdvanced?

The 95% is a rough guess from my experience here and on .org. A LOT of people here use vbadvanced.
Sorry, I have no experience with subdreamer.

There are a lot threads already here and on vbulletin.org about which cms to
choose for vbulletin, I suggest you use the search function and search for subdreamer and/or vbadvanced, and you will very fast find a lot of useful posts. Vbadvanced is free so you can also try both.
