I migrated about 18 months ago. I am very happy with VBulletin and the migration wasnt that hard.

I wish i'd done it years ago

    Good Luck

http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/impex tells you step by step how to do it. If you need additional help you can ask in the ImPex forum after purchasing a vBulletin license. (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=92)

The ImpEx system is the core system for importing from other forum software into vBulletin. It's free with as long as you have a valid vBulletin license.

If you read http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=138594 you will see that many vBulletin user's have switched from phpBB without any problems.

  • Transferring my Phpbb forum to Vbulletin. Difficulty rating??

Ok, I am a newbie to webhosting, I have owned my own forum for a couple of years but it has always been managed by a third party, we have decided to move our own direction and want to make the switch from phpbb forum to vbulletin. As I know nothing about forum transfers and our previous host did all the setups for us, I need to know if it is possible for an amatuer to manage a transfer to vbulletin with a minimum of fuss?

We have moved to new servers etc with the help of the old host, now we just need to buy our licence and switch to v-bulletin, but with my limited knowledge even this is a daunting prospect.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks.
