Any experiences with vBulletin and Bluehost hosting?

Is it recommended for vBulletin to be recommended on dedicated server hosting?

  • #2
Don't have any experience with them but their servers are capable of running vBulletin.

The type of server (shared, VPS, semi-dedicated, dedicated) depends on the number of visitors and the options that you enable within your forums. A standard vBulletin setup can easily run on a shared server. Choosing a host that will work with you and offer an upgrade path to keep your site online with decent resources is the best solution.

Horrible host for Vbulletin esp if your forum starts to grow, i get constant crashes, and it's a nightmare im looking to change servers. I only have 2000 members

I'm with Bluehost, havent had any problems with them so far. In fact, its been nothing short of constant uptime, and good speeds.
