  • Little questions before buy

    Hello everyone,

I really want to buy vBulletin in some weekends or a couple of months. Tough, I have some simple questions:

Once I register a vBulletin copy to a domain, can I use it in another too?

As I think vB only allows one domain, may I change the domain? Imagine I have x-site and it does not have sucess. May I register my vB copy to my y-site and remove it from the x-site?

Besides that, vB costs 160 US Dollars, which is aproximately €103 (using an online conversor)
If I change the currency in the purchase page, it says €139. Is this real? So I buy it in Dollars

More... Is there any site which is focused in the formation/teaching of styling vB? I have CSS and HTML knowledge, but I want do get better.

    And now... Time for congratulations!
vBulletin is really great! Thanks in advance.

A license may be active on only one domain at a time. Should you wish to run two active sites powered with vBulletin, you will need two licenses of vBulletin.

You are welcome to at anytime to change the URL associated with your license.

Ahh... I understand now. And imagine a "loler" domain.

      EXAMPLE: http://www.loler.com

Can I have two forums in this domain, like this:

      http://development.loler.com

      and

      http://beta.loler.com

The domain is still only one, it just changes the subdomain. Site is the same. I guess I can't, but that's no problem. I can run the other domain with phpBB or so.

And my Dollars/Euros question? Can someone answer it?

      Thx, ManagerJosh.

Yes, that is correct, you cannot do that. One license may only power one instance.

The conversion rate is only updated so often. You may choose to pay in whichever currency you like. Also take in account of VAT.

          One instance = One license.
You can point it to the domain you run it on.
If you install three instances on a domain, say on subdomains or each in their own directory that is .. three instances, so three licenses.

            Ah... Thanks. I understand now.
I'll think if I'll buy in dollars or euros... Difference is not that much. Thanks for all.
