Importing from Expression Engine Discussion Forum?

    Hi

    I run a small business forum (http://www.uksbf.com/index.php/forums)

I would like to switch the software to vBull but am wondering about how I can import the posts and users. Is there an import script about or will I lose everything and have to start from scratch?

Is there anyone that could create a script for a small fee?

    Any advice appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Steve

vBulletin has an import script called ImpEx. You can see all the forums that can be imported here: http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/m...ex_module_dump.

Unfortunately Expression Engine is not on there. After searching this forum though I read that Jerry, The ImpEx developer, did write an import script for it.

I'm a member of the staff here, and the one that takes care of the importer system called ImpEx.

All the things I write are a part of that, and available in the members area.
        I wrote ImpEx.

          Hi Jerry

          Thanks for the reply.

So if I go ahead and order the vBull software I can get access to the members area, or I have access already having signed up to the forum.

And just to clarify, there IS an import script from EE to VB? If so I think i'll get my credit card out

Is your main site also in ExpressionEngine ?

Importing from Expression Engine Discussion Forum?
            Hi Steve,
Is your main site (home page) also in ExpressionEngine ?

If so, and if you are converting your forum to vBulletin, how do you manage integration between your ExpressionEngine main site and vBulletin forum ?

Sorry for the cross question. I am planning to use vBulletin along with ExpressionEngine. So I am curious to know what you are doing.
