ahh. hmm you are probably right, but i really doubt that if i make a forum, it wouldnt be targeted, because there are bigger fishes in the ocean that they would want to get to first.

You can reference this thread for a correction.
    http://www.phpbb.com/about/features/compare.php

The best thing you can do is try the demo and see how it works for you if you want to run through all the features.
thats the biggest load of **** ever, who ever made up that chart is just favoring phpbb lol.

im on a hacking site just to see what everyone has to say, so far i see no new features to hack 3.7.x
but i see they have the tools for phpbb still.
but i must say if a hacker wants to hack your site, no matter what software you are using they will alway find away, but as i said just not yet for vbulletin 3.7.x

For the most part, hacking comes from forum owners neglecting on keeping their forums up-to-date. All softwares have bugs that can be problematic security wise, and if the owner does not keep the software up-to-date, then it is very likely to be abused by malicious people.

Assuming if you keep your passwords secure, and you update your forums as soon as the newer versions with security updates are made available (Jelsoft aims to release security patches for newly discovered security issues within 24 hours of discovery), your chance of getting hacked should be fairly slim.

However, I will go and say that I have not seen an exploit on vBulletin as bad as the howdark exploit phpBB once suffered from.
