  • multiple forums on one domain

    hello:

I'm trying to build multiple forums (probably over 2000) on one domain. for example, a forum for each city, www.mydomain.com/new_york_forum, www.mydomain.com/boston_forum, ..... so that the users among forums are independent. My question is:

    Is this doable with vBulletin?
Is there any difficulty by doing the multiple forums like this?
How much of the cost to get a vBulletin license to do this task?

    Thanks!

You will have to purchase one license for each forum. Meaning it would be over 2000 licenses.

Modifications to the Software or database to circumvent the one-license-one-board rule are prohibited.

You could set up categories for each city, and use SEO to rewrite to one of the forums under a category, which is doable with one license. (SEO is not in vBulletin, you'd have to find a mod or use vBSEO)
