    The questions before I purchase

I'm really needing a forum very soon but I have two questions.

    1. Is mods/addons such as adsense intigration and itrader available in the vbulletin support? (if so, please show me a link)

    2. I've heard a rumor that using adsense with a vbulletin is very dangerous because you can get banned. Is this true? Is there ways to feel secure having adsense on a vbulletin forum?

    Hello,

Thank you for your interest in the vBulletin Forum Software and for contacting vBulletin Sales.

No, addons that we did not code are not supported. But yes, Itrader and Adsense integration are I believe addons from vBulletin.org that you can install on top of vBulletin

Yes, there are risks, because the TOS from Adsense has to be complied. For example, if it says: don't show it on registration or login pages. Then install it on vB in a way it won't show on those pages. You could use template conditionals to block out certain pages.

      Hi,

Mods/add ons are available from outside vBulletin.com and the coders often offer support for their products.
You would need to disable/remove mods before vBulletin themselves will offer support to you, but that is very easy with this system which is why so many people use it.

It has to be said that vB comes with a huge amount of features as standard and many run their forums without adding mods.

Google Adsense have rules but they are easy to folllow, I have Adsense running on my forum and there have been no issues.

Sorry for interferring, but I'm having AdSense in my header and it shows up in all pages including register & login. Do I have to use conditionals to stop it from showing in these pages?

Will be reading it today, then start rectifing. I know that AdSense team is very strict with their ToS.

I basically only show it on pages that guests can view too. Such as forumhome, and forumdisplay and showthread. And the archives.

The rest isn't interesting to guests/members to have also adsense there.

Thank you for the support. It sounds good. I'll have to take a 20th read at the Tos again myself just in case there is some surprise that everyone might have looked up.
