  • Hacking Issues - EMERGENCY

    Hello fine people,

is currently using the vBulletin software. At the same time, they are a group of hackers. Just recently they took out InvisionFree! I am requesting that the staff here revoke their rights of being able to use the vBulletin software. After all, they will be facing legal issues in the weeks to come.

I just thought that this might help. It is not fair that they get to destroy your competitors literally.

    Thanks,

    I Am Java

As long as it doesn't violate the VB terms, vBulletin has no say in what people do with their forum software.

[Note: The infraction must be on the vBulletin forums for us to take action. We have no say in anything other than the vBulletin pages.]

Otherwise if you wish to make a complaint, you will need to contact the webmaster of that site and/or their web hosting company.

You can review the full license agreement here: http://www.vbulletin.com/go/license

Please note that the problem MUST take place on their forum, not its addons or other associated services, for us to have rights to take action. If you have reasons to believe that a site is not in compliance with the license agreement, then please use the same link as piracy report { http://www.vbulletin.com/piracy.php } to let us know. Your identity will remain confidential, and we cannot disclose our course of action as usual.

They are not using vbulletin software to take down another site tho. They could simply use phpbb to have a forum up, they just choose to use vbulletin.

                You won't know.
Only the staff here is privy to the license status of users. That said, if the users can post in sections where only licensed users can post, there's a good chance they are.

Though technically speaking that's only an indicator that their email address is linked to a legal license, doesn't actually mean they have one of their own.

That's precisely why I only said there's a good chance.

                      Um.....how about no

That's like Microsoft cancelling someone's license because they don't like what they have on their hard drive. Or Adobe cancelling someones license of Photoshop because they don't like the images their editing.

We've goten your reports, and again and again we've told you that if you suspect piracy you can report them.
