  • setup on a virtual server

Hello, before installing vB on a Windows 2003 IIS server, my company has setup a "virtual" server to test this software. We will purchase a leased license of vB for this.
Once we have everything in order, do we have to purchase another license to have it moved over to the "production" server?

You are allowed a test installation of the software as well as the actual installation.

Are the test installation and the actual installation files 2 separate downloads?

How much is the test installation cost? Where is the link to this?

      Thanks.

No, the license agreement allows you to have an installation for development or testing purposes.

Ok, that's good. Since Windows 2003 server doesn't have MySQL and PHP installed by default, what do you think of this installation?:

Of course, this installation of "XAMPP" uses Apache server, however, which would be better to install vB on? IIS6 or Apache?

vbulletin will work fine with either.

Though from personal expirence getting PHP running on IIS has been harder than on apache.
